Hitchhiker's Guide for Upgrading to Oracle Database 19c

This hands-on lab lets you practice everything you need to successfully upgrade to Oracle Database 19c using AutoUpgrade, the recommended way. In addition, you will learn how to ensure performance stability by using tools like SQL Performance Analyzer and SQL Plan Management. Finally, you will also learn how to migrate to the multitenant architecture and use Full Transportable Export/Import.

After attending this hands-on lab, you can successfully upgrade and migrate to Oracle Database 19c.

Oddaja predavanja

Oblika in dolžina predavanj

Uradna jezika MakeIT SIOUG 2023 sta slovenščina in angleščina. Pričakujemo, da boste predavanje izvedli v jeziku, kot ga boste navedli v prijavi. Predavatelji lahko prijavite predavanje za standardne dolžine 45 minut. V kolikor za izvedbo predavanja potrebujete več časa, je na voljo tudi dvojna dolžina predavanja. Za predstavitev poglobljenih tehničnih vsebin bo na voljo tudi nekaj 2-3 urnih sklopov/delavnic.

Oddaja prispevkov in roki za oddajo prispevkov

Prijava vaših prispevkov je možna preko forme, kjer je potrebno navesti naslov predavanja, kratek opis predavanja (do 1000 znakov), željeno dolžino predavanja, nivo zahtevnosti predavanja in kratko biografijo.

Vaše prispevke pričakujemo najkasneje do vključno 31. januarja 2023. Zaključen izbor prispevkov in obveščanje predavateljev je predvideno do 1. marca 2023.

Obveznosti in ugodnosti predavatelja

V primeru uvrstitve vašega prispevka na konferenco ste predavatelji dolžni:

pripraviti predstavitev v PPT ali PDF formatu in morebitna spremljajočega gradiva
izvesti predstavitev v določenem terminu v okviru urnika konference.

Predavatelji, ki boste uvrščeni v program konference, s tem pridobite brezplačno kotizacijo za udeležbo na konferenci. Brezplačna kotizacija velja za glavnega oziroma prvo-navedenega predavatelja (v primeru, če je avtorjev predstavitve več) in ni prenosljiva. V kolikor bomo izvedli konferenco v Portorožu, kotizacija ne vključuje stroškov potovanja na konferenco in stroškov nočitev.

Dear presenters,

The MakeIT SIOUG 2023 conference will be a live event taking place from 1st and 2nd June 2023 in Portorose, Slovenia. Make sure to submit your papers by 31st Jan 2023!

This year’s conference format will be slightly different from the one we’re used to. There will be two conferences taking place on the same premises and at the same time:

MakeIT SIOUG 2023,dedicated to Oracle related content
JCON OpenBlend Slovenia 2023, dedicated to Java related content

MakeIT 2023 will cover the following topics:

Paper submission

Anyone who would like to present an interesting topic which doesn’t fit in any of the above listed areas, is also encouraged to submit an abstract.

Presentation format and length

Slovenian and English are the two official conference’s languages. Please deliver the presentation in the language you choose when submitting the abstract. You can submit presentations of a standard duration of 45 minutes. In case you need a longer slot, double-slot lengths are also available. For technical in-depth presentations, or workshops, there are also some 2 or 3-hour slots available.

Abstract submission and deadlines

In order to submit your abstract, please use this form. When submitting the abstract, please specify the presentation title, a short description (up to 1000 characters), its desired length and difficulty level, and your short biography.

The deadline for submitting the abstracts is 31 st Jan 2023 inclusive. The abstract selection process is expected to be completed till March 1st 2023.

Obligations and benefits for the speakers

In case the submitted abstract is selected, the speaker is required to:

prepare and submit a preliminary presentation in PPT and/or PDF format
deliver the presentation (in person) within the above mentioned time limits following the Conference's schedule

The speaker whose talk will be included in the conference schedule obtains a free registration fee for the entire conference and can attend the speaker's dinner a day before the conference start in a pleasant nearby restaurant.. The free registration fee applies to the main speaker or author (in case there is more than one author of the presentation) and is non-transferable. Travelling costs to the conference venue and overnight stay are not covered.
