About MAKEIT SIOUG 2023
The origins of the MakeIT SIOUG 2023 conference go way back to the year 1996, when the first SIOUG conference took place. Since then, there were several local and foreign presenters on the conference's stage. It also changed several venues over the years, from Portorose's Bernardin, to Ljubljana, and now back to Portorose's congress center Portus, which has been the conference's home for the past few years.
As the IT industry is changing and evolving, so is our conference. In order to provide a more focused event, we're going "back to the roots" and changing the conference's format so that there will be two events taking place at the same time at the same location: MakeIT SIOUG 2023, dedicated to Oracle related topics, and JCON OpenBlend Slovenia 2023, dedicated to Java topics.
Despite the changes, the conference's philosophy still remains to connect people, and allow them to obtain new knowledge and learn from other people's experiences.
